What is the most important task for any blogger? Creating content, content and only content. Forget about search engine optimization, backlinks, design or anything else.
Today there are only two major search engines- Google and Bing. While Google is the king of Internet, Bing is still "crawling towards significant market share". These search enginese are the main source of traffic to any website or blog. And they understand mostly textual content. More text means more crawling by bots of Google and Bing.
But it does not mean that you should fill your blog with mud and dust. The content should have quality. Think of a flower. Do you like a stale flower? No. Nobody like stale and used flowers. Similarly, these search engines want fresh and good quality content, mostly in text form.
So, start texting more text and get more love from Google and Bing.
